I love the site Adia!!! Your work is so awesome!! I hope the word keeps spreading. You have truly stepped into a territory that has long been ignored: the treatment, as opposed to the mere incarceration, of Black youth. Keep up the good work. Many Blessings!!!

Dr. Dia,

You have the answer to what we have been looking for. Two of my collegues and I work with a group of teens who have a negative self image, and lack of aspiration to achieve. We are so excited about the H.Y.P.E.

Thank you
Kathy

Dr. Dia,

Your program is important and powerful. I'm really looking forward to getting involved. This will have huge impact on the lives of so many young boys and girls. The importance of your program cannot be understated!!

Hi Dr. Dia!

For some reason, today I was led to search through your website and really see who you are and learn more about H.Y.P.E. To my pleasant surprise, in your "The Developer" Section, you speak candidly on your admiration for and emulation of Dr. Tupac Shakur. How ironic that today marks the anniversary of his death, and I have randomly happened to see you tweet about him today. I want to thank you for your bold authority as a champion for the Youth in Our Community. Hip Hop is an art form, as is any of art, that moves, inspires, and empowers people to develop in their own way. You are a hero to many for developing the legacy that greats, such as Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, and Tupac left us. You have added your own expertise to a distorted and gravely manipulated art form, to restore it back to its highest potential for good. I would like to personally thank you for that. Blessings be upon you, SisterQueen. May the work of your Hands be ever blessed!

Peace and much Love!

Wooow! It was GREAT talking with you, I LOVE your vision and the work you're doing with HYPE! It's ALWAYS amazing how God works! Another WilberForcean saving the world through Hip Hop culture, this is a BLESSING! As a National Organizer with the Temple Of Hiphop, I am always looking to connect with TRUE Hiphoppas who understand WHY Hip Hop culture has been given to US as a life strategy for our self-empowerment...we have MUCH work to do, WORD! ;)

Congrats on the article in JET Magazine! We definitely need to link up and work together…I created a Hip-Hop Audio Book to give college students modern day examples of theories derived from Sociology, Psychology and African American Studies. Check out www.thestudentatl.com and tell me what you think. I would love to send you a free copy so you can use it in your curriculum. Once again, congrats and keep up the great work!

I have been teaching youth for a couple of yrs now, but wanted something that would reach the soul of them. When I read your article in JET, I had tears in my eyes. This program would be my way of doing it. Your program is awesome and I can't wait to attend your training, learn more about it. Our children need us. I thank you. C

Hi Dr. Dia
I was so excited when I heard about your program on Tom Joyner this morning. I was so glad that our children are getting culturally relevant ways of dealing with pain. Congrats and keep up the great work!

Dear Dr. Dia, thank you for your love of Black children. Today we are missing what true love is suppose to feel like regarding our children. Thank you for your courage to speak about Black pain in the lives of Black children.
I heard about your teaching on the Tom Joyner show today. Black struggle is so important to our children. Peace, Love, and Joy.

Adia:

I had the good fortune to meet your folks here in T'dega recently. I have relocated here from Washington, DC and networked with some interesting people there. I have a few ideas I am interested in discussing with you.

EMail me when you have a second or call your dad.

Thanks,

Stephanie

Congratulations on your website and wonderful program. I have just ordered your book and look forward to how I may incorporate it with teens I see in my practice. So cool to see a fellow SOPP grad doing something this important. Bob Dell '92
